Technical Description

The third iteration of Fathom-Global 3.0 is for anyone interested in understanding flood exposure anywhere in the world. More specifically, the data provides the most sophisticated view of global flood risk available on the market for decision makers, asset managers, risk specialists and global leaders.

Fathom has released its new Risk Category scoring for a variety of flood perils, and for historical and projected conditions. The Risk Category scores provide a 0-100 scoring scheme for each grid cell, categorizing locations by their relative risk (or, in low risk areas, their proximity to the 1000 year flood zone). A score of 0 represents grid cells greater than 500 meters from the 1000 year flood zone. A score of 1-5 represent grid cells proximate to, but not within, the 1000 year flood zone.
Scores of 6-100 represent a categorization of the Relative Risk scores.

This specific Collection holds the SSP5-8.5 Risk Category score data for a variety of flood perils. The 'Inland' layer is a combination of the pluvial and fluvial risks. The 'flood' peril is a combination of pluvial, fluvial and coastal. This region has been extracted from the Fathom-Global 3.0 dataset.

This dataset contains the following fields:
